Unable to run any release after 2.5.1rc2 #2092

You're most likely missing latest VC redis. Use the installer instead of the archive and it should be installed for you. |
Same here. Tried the installer, didn't work either. Crashes silently. |
The installer didn't install it and the link on the nexus page is also pointing to the wrong version. I think you guys need to check your installer package. |
I've updated the link on Nexus. Installer works fine on clean machine, so not sure why it does not work for you. Are you installing 2.5.2 or 2.5.1rc2? |
2.5.2 through the built-in updater downloader in MO2 itself. It looks to just be downloading the installer package? Doesn't seem to grab 14.40.33810.0 by default on any of those release builds after 2.5.1rc2. I grabbed the other build installers directly from the releases section of the GitHub. Tried every single one in reverse chronological order until I hit one that worked. |
I used 2.5.2 installer from the github release. |
This was on a freshly updated Windows 11. I can get you the full version string if you need it. |
Also experiencing the same issue, crashes before it's able to produce any logs. 2.5.2 upgraded from 2.5.1rc2. |
Got crash with dmp - how can I provide them? ps. vc, dotnet, etc already installed |
Did you install https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x64.exe? |
Interesting, I already had it installed so I ran a repair and mod organizer is working again. |
Not sure what to say on this one. No error messages, no apparent logs, no processes even appear to start. Task manager polling rate is apparently too low to see the process if it even does start. Absolutely nothing happens on all releases after 2.5.1rc2 when the program is supposed to start. Is there some required dependency that isn't listed on the release page or the nexus? Or is this just a really bad bug?
Where do you want me to start? A Sys info file? A DX Diag? IS there some way to enforce logging without any UI?
I'll provide anything you need.
