A student on your course shared with me the Git repository for the ArchiDep course, which I found very interesting.
I myself am a lecturer at HEIG-VD in the TIC department, where I teach the course Développement d'applications internet (DAI), which covers much the same ground as yours (also available on GitHub here if you're interested: https://github.com/heig-vd-dai-course).
I'd like to open a public issue to discuss your course because I have a few questions about your experience of teaching with Git and the themes you propose (if that's OK with you):
I see that the Git repository dates back to 2018 (source: https://api.github.com/repos/MediaComem/comem-archidep). Is that when you started giving the ArchiDep course or was it already available in another format before then?
Is this the first course in the COMEM+ curriculum to be publicly accessible on GitHub and to combine so many practical aspects?
Does the fact that the course is also in English pose any concerns for some people?
What feedback do students have on the course?
How have you built up your course over the years? Is it easy for you to maintain this kind of course? How do you keep your repository tidy and accessible?
What is it like for you and your students to have a course available on Git?
Are other COMEM+/MEI courses available on GitHub/built in the same way (other than the ones available in the MediaComem GitHub's organization)?
If you had it to do over again, would you do certain things differently?
Is it OK for you if I link your course in mine for awareness and additional resources?
I have the feeling that we have a lot to share and that we could exchange/collaborate on certain common themes. Feel free to contact me if you'd like to discuss this around a coffee (or a beer :)).
Thank you very much and take care!
Ludovic

Hey Ludovic,
Allow me to react to this as I followed the course Archidep some years ago (~2020) and loved it! Maybe you can benefit from a student perspective.

I don't remember any student complaining about the course support to be in english, as the course itself was given in french. I personally think it makes sense as our domain is mostly english-driven.

Most of my class were very happy with this course. It's nice to have everything available at any time (references, resources, course support, exercises, etc.). Maybe it lacks the slideck ? Not sure if's available...
One random thought is about the subjects organization. I found sometimes difficult to navigate through it: I expected to have topics structured by chronological order (e.g. 01-course-one02-course-two, etc).
