Shall I use email or xiaomi account or mobile phone number to login? It always prompts step 2 failed, as I am not sure what the step 2 is. Thanks.

@sarcomattys the mac version has to be updated. I've solved this by cloning this repo and running a mac version from the source code

The same issue on windows version. Looks like there are some changes in Xiaomi login procedure, I have same issue also with Homeassistant integration "Xiaomi gateway 3 (https://github.com/AlexxIT/XiaomiGateway3#zigbee-home-automation-mode)

MacOs 10.15.7 (19H2026). The app worked for some days, but today I got the same error. Cleaned app cache, plist etc. Didn't help:( Please, update the app.

I would suggest using homebridge-miot to get devices' tokens. It has support for 2fa code which is required sometimes. I think this app has to be updated in order to comply with the new xiaomi auth method

Disconnecting from VPN solved it for me.
