The ultrasonic wind sensor that we won at the competition needs to be integrated into the boat to make use of it. Together with this, the wiring to the mast would need changing to accommodate the serial connection required for this and the power supply level (~7V if I remember correctly)

Do we really want to place a sensor this large/heavy at the top of the Black Python? I would suggest testing it land based first. My dream use of this sensor would be a sailability boat via Mike, mounted with a suction cup at the front of the vessel... :)
