Useful Git Commands

Basic usage of git

To clone this repository to your own computer

git clone <url>

To create your own branch

git checkout <your-name>

To let git track your file changes

git add <file(s)>

To commit your changes

git commit -m "<commit-message>"

To push your changes on remote

git push

To pull changes from remote

git pull

To switch to other branch

git checkout <branch-name>

To merge changes from another branch

git merge <branch-name>

To merge specific file(s) from another branch

git checkout <another-branch> <path-to-file> [<one-more-file> ...]
