With the anticipated success of engine generalization (PR #113), aero seems like the best place to liberate next.

Doing so would enable:

  • application of high-fidelity results via a simple drag polar (Mach-dependent?), like those worked on by @prateekr9SF
  • easy switching to the anticipated higher-fidelity in-TASOPT models (e.g., vortex lattice)

the first example above is on hold until we find a nail for the hammer.
the second example is still useful, but not yet urgent.
