mobile safari search issues

I enter text and press enter Enter to search but nothing happens. I press long, I press short, I press multiple times, nothing.
Two out of 25 times, after a lot of trying I managed to get it to search but I don’t know how and couldn’t reproduce it afterwards. For reference, my search query was ability:“when this card’s battle opponent becomes“, which works fine when I try it on Chrome desktop and Chrome Mobile
