What is Microsoft Visual Studio C++ 6.0

Microsoft Visual Studio C++ 6.0 was a Integrated Development Environment (IDE) from Microsoft for developing programs on Windows 9x and 32-bit NT systems. Newth supports being built with Microsoft Visual Studio C++ 6.0 on Windows.

Microsoft Visual Studio C++ 6.0 creates the ultimate portable version of Newth binaries for Microsoft Windows systems that do not link to a C runtime or any other dynamic link libraries files not already included in Windows 95 and later. The graphical interface binaries support visual styling and have Windows Socket v1, v2 & IPV6 support at runtime and; is unfortunately the only way build Newth to be compatible with 80386 processors (which Windows 95 supports) at this time.
