The latest version of Google Chrome (72) has broken U2F-support for Ledger hardware wallets. Users running this browser will encounter an error (usually U2F timeout) on web apps like MyEtherWallet, MyCrypto, Tronscan, etc.
We are working to identify the issue and will investigate whether a solution can be implemented.
Alternative browsers
You are kindly requested to use one of the following browsers:
- Brave
- Opera
However I can confirm that this issue is also present in Brave, therefore this browser should not be recommended as an alternative.
Edit: While it may be intuitive to some users, another solution that may be worth explicitly mentioning on this support documentation page is downgrading the browser version to pre-72 Chrome/ Chromium. I just did this and now the issue is solved.
