Ledger + Metamask not working.

Are you guys testing Metamask at all?
When you have breaking changes, do you report it to MM?
As on now, Ledger + MM is quite unusable. You did something, and things broke.
Signing requests never display.

The last month or so, ever since 1559, it's been like this. You make a change, they don't know, shit doesn't work.
And don't say "Use Ledger Live". I shouldn't have to.

Funnily enough, 1.9.7 doesn't work in Ledger Live either.

Thank you for coming here to report a bug. Would you be so kind as to provide more details about the problem you're encountering? Thing such as:

1. MM version
2. Ledger Firmware version (+ model)
3. Ethereum App version
4. Which browser are you using, and which version?
5. What transaction are you trying to do?
6. Are you sure you've turned on Blind Signing in the Settings after you updated the App?

We do test our updates, and we do ping Metamask when needed :)

Ledger Nano S w/ 2.0.0 Firmware
Ledger Ethereum app 1.9.7 (1.9.6 wasn't working either)
FF 92.0.1

Trying to do a basic ERC-20 send

Tested with both blind signing on and off

Signature request never reaches ledger for signing

MM spits out a { code: -32603, message: "Error: Transaction found as "approved" during boot - possibly stuck during signing", stack: "Error: Error: Transaction found as "approved" during boot - possibly stuck during signing" }

I have the same issue on Ledger nano X. No prompt to open ledger live websocket, MetaMask tries to make the transaction without any confirmation on the hardware device. Manually opening websocket connection doesn't help either, MM still tries to make the tx without confirmation the tx on the nano-x

This makes all dApps which rely on MM connection totally unusable as many do not have WalletConnect set up

Using Nano X version 1.3.0, Eth app version 1.9.9, Ledger Live version 2.33.1. Blind signing is turned on. Same result on Chrome, Firefox, Brave and MS Edge

Managed to fix this by selecting 'connect hardware wallet' again to try and force reconnect the ledger

Gets stuck after pressing "confirm"

It's honestly quite tiresome when your hardware wallet only works half of the time, @pscott
If you do ping the MM team, then why are there always issues like this going on after a version update?
Can I downgrade the ledger app so it's usable to me?

Hi @johansten ,
There are no downgrade possible ATM.
I'm pretty sure 1.9.11 is working fine. Once again, make sure you have:

• Enabled bridge on Live and on MM
• Tried using multiple browsers?
• Set the blind signing on in the app itself

As you can see from the changelog, no breaking changes got introduced by 1.9.11 so I very much doubt that it has anything to do with your current issue :)
