browserify: flakey macOS test timeout

A test has been flakey and liking to timeout recently

on main since

• 1f95b75

then couple more times

• 0c6c935
• 8fe2123

so we disabled

• chore(browserify): disable scenario tests on macos in CI for now #1035

and we'd like to

• determine/fix the cause
• note any diffs/inconsistencies in ci job setup of passing vs failing tests
• poss quickfix before (e.g. bumping our gha macos runner image to 13/14beta)
• re-enable the scenario tests

  • ci (macOS) 12.7.3 Test macOS compatibility failing on 1 test

  • no timeout locally (macOS 14.3.1) all 25 pass
