Lack of instructions when trying to install #8

Sorry about sounding like a Karen, but I have no clue what the heck I do to compile this. I downloaded the source, and all of the recommended programs, loaded encoder.c into visual studio code, and then typed the command, and got an error.

What error are you getting? On macOS and Linux it's just a matter of installing the dependencies and running the make line, on Windows you will probably have to use WSL as none of this was ever tested on Windows.

I guess I will try Linux then.

the errors were all just related to the stuff not being installed, or not viewable. I can't find them anymore because my computer does not seem to like VSC.
