Internal Block Links #57
Comments
I wasn't aware of this feature which is why it is not supported. But thanks for bringing it to my attention, and I'll work on seeing if it is possible to implement this! Thanks again for the suggestion :) |
Hi there, I also observed this same issue reported at #298 you closed but I can see you maintain open under this issue number. I would like to enquire how you are progressing in resolving this. (My special problem with it comes because I thought to restructure my md documents to have headings to link to them even referring to them not only from the same documents because the section links did not work either in the same or in another document to refer to blocks, with the HTML output. However, it results getting many unnecessary headings where for example lists would be enough, but can not be referenced as section links. Too many headings also cause problems in the HTML output if those are not regularly sequenced. See #386 (comment)) I think it is (not only just for me however I'm just stuck in this problem) a very needed and crucial feature to be considered and developed sooner Thank you for your kind answer if you have time. |
@vgyenge6 I am not actively working on this yet, but I am working towards it. Like I told you before I do plan on implementing this |
I just started using your plugin and it works amazingly well. I did notice that internal links to blocks within notes as identified by a ^ in obsidian don't work when exported to html.
I frequently have
^TOP
at the top of a note and then throughout the note include
[[#^TOP]]
which takes you up to that top block note that is
Given that obsidian has a warning that they are not part of the standardized markup format I'm not surprised that the links don't resolve when exported to html format and so am putting this in as a feature request not a bug. Am open to helping develop this feature if you are interested.
