Steps to reproduce:

  1. Before opening files, switch the module panel to Rendering tab (this is the key step to reproduce the bug)

1

  1. Open several dicom files from different series (so that several volumes are loaded by volview

  2. Switch back the module panel to Data tab to select and render different volume images
    2

  3. Continue to click different thumbnails to trigger rendering. In my case, my computer encounters the too many active WebGL contexts error in around 13~14 clicks (i.e., setPrimarySelection
    3
    4

After the error is raised, the canvas becomes blank white and cannot render or interact any more.

  • What browser + OS are you using?
  • How many DICOM datasets did you open? I tried a couple and followed your instructions but could not trigger a lost WebGL context.

Hi @floryst I'm using Windows 11 (x64) and Edge browser (v120.0.2210.133)

In my case I tried about 13 dicom datasets to encounter this error.
