@tomdeakin and @gmlueck, do either of you remember what the actual task is here? I tried checking the minute meetings from August and September 2024 but couldn't find anything.

If our aim was to clarify that hierarchical parallelism should be considered deprecated, I think we should try to get that in before Revision 10.

Yes, I think that's what we wanted to do: Change the wording in SYCL 2020 to says that hierarchical parallelism is deprecated. The wording is already close because tells people not to use it.
