We are currently testing the BetterInstantSearch for Confluence Cloud.
Regarding to this we have some initial questions.
At the moment the BetterInstantSearch can be found in "Apps". So we have two startingpoints for the search. This can be confusing. So our question is, if later on the two searchfunctionalities will be fused, so that we have only one starting point.
The second question refers to the first: If it's possible to have one starting point, does the search has all the filterpossibilities (e.g. filter for labels) that the advanced search in Confluence has?
Thanks in advance!
Regard,
Sandra

At the moment we don't believe this to be possible due to what we can achieve within the Confluence plugin system. If you are aware of another application which achieves this however we would be very interested in having a look. What we fine works well for many customers is to have a default homepage for most users and putting a link there to instant search. Bookmarks also help in this regard.
Labels are not currently supported, but this looks like a good feature to add. Usually we have found people can find what they need without them since the search is so fast, but I could see it being useful in some use cases.
Let me know if there is anything else I can assist with and I will see about getting labels added into the backlog.
