Legacy Android Support (5.0.1 / Lollipop)

Hi all,
is there / was there a version that can be installed on legacy android, 5.0.1 / Lollipop in my case?

Background: Running a dated but still lovely Galaxy S4 for which Samsung made a decent little docking station at the time - however, drivers for that appear to have only ever been included in the stock firmwares for that device, and none was ever published after Lollipop. We use it as the radio streamer all day to feed into our precious old hifi system. No thoughts of changing that setup for any "modern stuff" :-) So, can't update that phone ever, nor swap a more recent one into that dock, nor find a combo of a more recent one with a matching dock.
So, is there an older version of spotube, or could one be forked/down-graded for ancient devices? Thoughts?

Not an answer, and not helping this terrific project, but maybe others stuck in the past like me, here is an alternative app working on my setup:

It caches played songs offline, but has no dedicated offline / download control, which this sibling /spin-off of above does offer:

Would still love to see "Legacy SpoTube " ... the option to remotely control that player from my WonderWoman's phone would definitely earn me a "WOW! Darling! How can I ever..." ;-)
