Rule Settings

Advantage Attributes

The Advantage Attributes are e.g. Willpower, Rage, Humanity, and so on. If this setting is checked then all Advantage rolls are calculated from the Attribute's permanent value.
If it is unchecked then the system uses the lowest if temporary permanent value.

Handle 1s

A rather simple setting. If it is checked then all 1s removes one success from the roll.
If it is unchecked the 1s doesn't do anything - the rule about rolling Botches still remain.

Certain rules are excluded from the rule of one according to the rules. No successes are removed regardless of the setting if the rules states that no successes should be removed if 1s is rolled.

20th ed/5th ed

This is not as big setting as it looks at first glance. Instead if it is set at 5th ed then:

  • Attributes Appearance and Perception are replaced by Composure and Resolve.
  • Permanent Willpower is calculated by the sum of Composure and Resolve.
  • Possible speciallities in Composure or Resolve is automatically calculated with Willpower rolls regarding the outcome of a 0.

If it is set to 20th edition, which is default of the System then you go by the rules in the book.

Hunter Settings

Gaining Edge settings

In Hunter the Reckoning there are two possible ways to gain Edges. You can either spend Virtue Points or Experience. Depending on what rule you use the graphics on the Hunter sheet adapts to it.

Permission Settings

Observer view permission

The default setting is that an observer can see the entire sheet. This can then be changed to only be able to see the Bio tab.

Limited view permission

The default setting is that an user with limited view can only see the Bio tab. This can then be changed to only be able to see the full sheet.

Changing Actor or Item images

If you wish to be able to do this you set the correct settings in the Permission Settings then your type of user permissions has to have permission to access the file system in Foundry VTT's User Management. Then the image you pick needs to not be within the system images. Most preferable use an image you place under your World's folder.

Item Administration

Some items in the System have Types - the Feature Item is such Item. So if you change such Item's type then the nature of the Item is totally changed compared to how the system views it, say you change an Item from Background to Merit.

If you change some Item's type they might just vanish from view of the sheet and at the moment they might get unretrievable. Depening on your group and how you are as a person you might want to restrict your players to be able to do this kind of changes to the Items of their character. And this is when you use this setting.

Graphical Settings

Splat Fonts

Each sheet has their special font on headlines and such. You can turn this off using an System-wide setting by turning it off for everyone.

You can also have this setting on and then turn the Splat Fonts off on individual sheet under the Sheet's Settings Tab.

World Anvil

This is not really a full support for World Anvil but mainly thought as a possibility to be able to have a place to store the direct link of a World Anvil page and then use that. If turned off the field is not shown on the sheet's Bio tab.
