Sheet: Mage the Ascension

The Mage sheet it has Bio, Core, Magic, Combat, Gear, Notes and Settings.

Sheet Icons

Menu

This icon opens up the Bio tab.

This icon opens up the Core tab.

This icon opens up the Magic tab.

This icon opens up the Combat tab.

This icon opens up the Gear tab.

This icon opens up the Notes tab.

Macro

Opens up the cast spell form.

Rolls the sheets initiative and if a things are setup in the Scene the result will be added to the Combat Tracker. Requires that an Encounter has been created and an Token connected to the Sheet is located in the Scene itself.

Rolls a soak roll.

Rolls a generic roll.

  • If Ignore Pain is checked then any Wound Penalties are ignored in all rolls.

Bio

The Bio tab holds the base information about the character as a person, its history, background and such. It is possible to customize what sect and affiliation a mage belongs to by selecting custom in the selections.

Core

The Core tab holds attributes, abilities and those advantages that are active on the sheet.

Attributes

Your total attributes with form bonus can be seen next to each.

To add a permanent bonus to an Attribute, or there are need to increase the maximum value you can do this under Settings Tab -> Attributes.

To edit an attribute's specialty just edit that attribute, only visible if it has 4 or more in its stat.

Abilities

If you want to add Abilities that aren't listed or if you need to increase the max rating of an ability then you can do this under Settings Tab -> Abilities.

If you set the sheet to edit then you will be able to change what names an existing ability is called. This is primarily thought to be used with abilities like Craft and so on. The change is in name only.

To edit an ability's specialty just edit it by clicking it edit icon. In the same fashion you can alter an ability's name by edit it.

Advantages

To clear Arete or Willpower reduce it to 1, then click on '1' again and it will clear.

Quinetessence and Paradox

  • To add Quintessence to the wheel you left click on the boxes. Quintessence is marked as a Prime symbol in the wheel.
  • To add temporary Paradox to the wheel you right click on the boxes. Temporary Paradox is marked as a black X in the wheel.
  • To add permanent paradox to the wheel you go to the Settings Tab -> Power and add the amount the character has. Permanent Paradox is marked as a red X in the wheel and can only be removed in Settings.

Health

Health is handled by you left-click on the health boxes and then they add bashing damage to them. Clicking on a box with a damage on it already will increase it one step up. If the damage already was Aggravated then it will be cleared.

If you right-click a health box then it will automatically be cleared.

Magic

Casting Spells

You can cast spells in three different ways.

  • Use Arete by clicking on Arete itself.
  • Use the Cast Spell icon (see below Combat).
  • Create a Rote item and then drag it to the sheet. You cast the Rote itself by clicking its name.

Combat

Adding weapons or armors can be done by creating them in the World as create Melee Weapon Item, Ranged Weapon Item or Armor Weapon item and then drag them to the sheet.

Armor Ratings are not automatically added to Soak rolls and must be added manually.

If you right-click a health box then it will automatically be cleared.

Gear

To add the magic items you create them in the World as Items then set the correct type on it and then drag the item to the sheet, or click on the add icon.

Notes

By clicking on the Add-button you automatically add that type of Feature Item to the sheet and you can edit it as you like afterwards.

Settings

Attributes

Altering values You are able to change the base values of an attribute by either giving it a permanent bonus or increase its maximum base value.

  • Value is the value of the attribute in itself.

  • Bonus is if you wish to add a permanent dice bonus to the attribute.

  • Total is the calculated value of the attribute.

  • Max is the max value you can enter of the attribute.

Adding Advantages to the sheet

As title says, you can add so the sheet has a path (Humanity), a blood pool or Virtues.

Abilities

If you need to add an ability that are not displayed on the sheet you just press eye icon.

The setting of Max rating is used in those cases you have the need to be able to set an ability to above 5, or for that matter limit the ratings of all abilities below 5.

Power

In those cases the Mage has gotten permanent Paradox you edit this here. This is then added to the paradox rating on the sheet automatically.

Combat

If you need to alter which type of damage you are allowed to soak. The total soak value is also listed per type of damage in the first box. The second one holds the number of bonus dices you might have in a particular type of damage.

If the sheet has a permanent bonus or penalty to Initiative it can be added here.

If you for some reason have more health boxes than normal you can alter this in the value box under Health.
Altering the penalty box alters the wound penalty for that level.

Sheet settings

Graphics

This is to be used if you don't want this sheet to have the special font for this sheet. It is possible to turn it off for the whole World under World Settings.

Era

By default the sheet belongs to Modern Era. But if you wish to shift a sheet to an alternative Era just click the appropriate button. This will shift the abilities around so correct abilities are visible.
