Preliminary questions [Required]
I experienced an issue, in which the references to figures are missing when compiling with Latex-Workshop. I tried to track down the issue via the log-file, but to me it seems unclear.
Disable all the other extensions except for LaTeX Workshop, restart VS Code, and check that you still see this issue. [Required]
You still see this issue?: Yes
Make sure to visit the wiki FAQ before filling an issue.
You visited the wiki?: Yes
If your issue is with compiling a document (not having to do with finding the root file of a project), check first that you can compile manually.
You can compile a TeX document manually?: Yes
Describe the bug [Required]
If I compile the tex document with the latex-workshop recipe, references are all missing. In the MWE I only included a reference to a figure. But in general all references are screwed. I have modified the
pdflatex ➞ bibtex ➞ pdflatex × 2
recipe in order to user biber for biblatex instead of bibtex. But the issue also remains with bibtex. Especially for the figure reference bibtex vs. biber should not play a role anyways. If I run the four commands of the recipe manually in the PS terminal, the pdf contains correct references.I don't have the problem with other projects. So my first guess is an issue with the document class which I am using for the first time. But I can't track it down. All options are based on a corresponding template. Do you have an idea what could cause this issue?

Are you using VSCodium?
No
Are you using the Snap or Flatpack versions of VS Code?
No
Are you using LaTeX Workshop with VS Code Remote?
No
The Latex Compiler Log is very long. Does it make sense to upload it as well? I can also put it on a cloud drive and share it this way.
