Im converting this into discussion First off, I feel somewhat "bullied" / "violated" by your post. When I created this script, I have tested on a minimal and server profile by archinstall. Heck I even tested on a bare minimal arch linux that I have created on this video. With only base, kernel, networkmanager, and boot loader on it I have been an Arch user for more than 3 years and in fact its my "fallback" distro as my main is gentoo. I will completely disagree with you that Manjaro is the most stable. Before Im on Arch, I have one week on Manjaro and the breakage I have on that distro are even more than my 3 years of using Arch. I dont know about arm since I never owned one |

The breakages on Manjaro are caused by the fact they hold back packages anywhere from 1 to 3 weeks or more because they thoroughly test them to make sure they work. And I'm sorry it came out that way, but I tried on 2 different systems with Arch minimal/server installs and your script seemed to have missed the exact same things both times (not limited to things like xorg, but also display drivers to begin with) and failed to work properly all the same with no method of debugging working, not even a reinstall. It could be something hardware specific (possibly) and I'll have to check it out, but if not I'll let you know. In any case, I heard about the whole holding back packages thing with Manjaro, and it makes sense why things would break a lot, and makes even more sense for there to not be a script for it. I was just curious about that was all. Again, as I stated previously, thanks for the hard work because I do enjoy the ability to have Hyprland without constantly fighting it because it won't accept certain files or Keybinds to be set/configured/included for absolutely zero reason which is extremely annoying. And I figure you would've been using Linux for a good amount of time to be making such scripts, so keep up the hard work! And don't worry, Arch is usually my fallback as well but just the same for Fedora and Ubuntu, I'm sick of fighting Arch to get it to boot, or to be able to have my stuff configured exactly how I would on other Distros. Linux user of 5+ years now Distros I've used: Debian This list is still going. Currently using Fedora, because I never ever have hardware related issues such as a touchpad not responding from an update to drivers etc even though the lack of support for some things is incredibly annoying as well. Ubuntu I just can't handle anymore, and I'm sick of always trying to battle it to make absolutely anything work as well as that recently announced but they had. |

yes thats what Manjaro is causing it to break. But any manjaro package will work and maybe it is stable but AUR packages or packages outside Manjaro repo, will bound to break after any update. Thats where I was challenge during my 1 week of Manjaro usage. I have been using Linux since the year that Ubuntu still sending out free CD, but deep dive more into Linux when i start using Linux... At the moment, I just stay on mother distros |

Okay, for one, correct your instructions. This script does, in fact, tested and checked, NOT work in Arch Server/minimal installs. (This is due to the fact Arch Linux doesn't install anything at all pertaining to Desktop usability including things like xorg or Wayland and it seems your script doesn't install multiple of these things which would be required to run it to begin with. This results in a working login screen, and a non functioning Hyprland install. (I attempted and exhausted absolutely every single option available to me and not a single thing could fix it)
I would also like to inquire about one of these things, but for Manjaro. Of all Linux Distros I have used, and to my surprise, Manjaro ALWAYS turned out to be the least problematic for both ARM/ARM64 and x86_64 devices. I would LOVE to have Hyprland on it.
In any case, thanks for the great work, I've used it for both Ubuntu and Fedora. I think I've found a new love for Hyprland as one of my favorite DEs aside from KDEs Plasma and Ubuntu's version of Budgie.
