Iris crashing Minecraft and Desktop Enviorment #2545
Comments
Setting allowed RAM in launch options to 4G seems to have resolved this issue. Why 2G is even considered as sane default these days is beyond me. Edit: nope, crash still occurs |
This is also happening to me, But my DE did not crash. Only the game. |
@UnitieG are you also using a shaderpack? Which one? |
Yes i am, all shaders pretty much crash the game |
Okay so, setting the launch settings to 6G has actually remedied this completely, if that is something you can spare @UnitieG then just do it since we are a minority of a minority in this case. As for developers - increasing the limit has certainly fixed it, but, I can still see staggers around the time the game and DE would crash. It's just one big spike which is quickly gone so I'm guessing that this is a memory allocation issue. It would be worthwile to check into this. |
