Ores

Appearance

Ores with a value between 1-9 for the concentration of metal pieces there is inside it, break time increased by higher values.
Will drop math.round(concentration_value*0.5) metal chunks, Silktouch gives the intact ore.

Generation

Spawns similarly to vanilla ore gen. Perlin noise value for each chunk (HIGHEST=2 LOWEST=0.2) multiplied with that chunk's value with the default ore concentration of the ore generated.
Different ores has different default ore concentration.

Appearance

Simple one-sided texture blocks. When broken will drop 1 of itself or increase it with Fortune, Silktouch gives the intact mineral block.

Spawning in large or small veins.

Oil

Appearance

A black slow flowing liquid. Can catch on fire.

Generation

You can't find it as a block in the wild and needs specialised pumps to get it. An oil pool is shared by a multitude of chunks as a value. The chunk where the pump is gets drained the quickest while chunks sharing the oil besides it drains slower.
A pumpjack may have to be moved around a bit to get all of it.
