Been using this plugin for a while and today started getting a message from Alexa "I dont know what went wrong" Anytime I invoke Alexa to leverage this bridge. It was working as of 7:00am CST and stopped working around 4:00pm CST.

In addition, when I do a discovery I do not see Indigo event messages.

I've tried

  • Cycling Indigo
  • Cycling the Plugin
  • Changing the Plug In Port
  • Manually trying to use a device using the alexa app
  • Deleting the Device from Alexa and re-discover
  • Searched Indigo Forums for anyone else having issues
  • Read the Wiki.

Is there anything going on in AWS? Or is this a local issue? Any troubleshooting tips?

A couple of suggestions are to check the Amazon Echo (Dot) firmware levels to see if they have changed and also restart your router in case that is causing a problem.

I would also encourage you to post this problem in the Indigo forums so that other users may contribute. :)

The Alexa-Hue Bridge forum: https://forums.indigodomo.com/viewforum.php?f=208

Yes, it has to use an Echo Generation 1 or Echo Dot Generation 1 / 2.
