  • Create a signup landing page
  • Header/top (button)
  • Main menu (link)
  • Footer or prefooter (form?)

Do we know what newsletter signup form provider they're using?

And per #8 (comment), they're not using a sidebar on articles. Should we prep SCAIP and a signup widget for them, or ignore articles for now?

We have a login for MailChimp, so lets start there. We can ignore articles for now and circle back pending budget when everything else is done. Thanks!

I know they're using mailchimp as their newsletter service, but I don't think they have any existing signup forms on their site.

Staging has Gravity Forms installed, and the Classic Editor plugin installed.

Newsletter subscription form created with Gravity Forms and the already-installed Mailchimp add-on: http://staging.overrated-board.flywheelsites.com/subscribe/

Rather than putting a form in the footer, since that would end up duplicated on the subscribe page, we could put a link (in the form of a .btn) in the footer. Here's a Custom HTML widget in Footer 2 below the Largo Donate widget:

With a link in the Main Nav, do we need to add a link next to Donate in the Global Nav?

Lets pull "Donate" from the main menu, and add a matching subscribe button to the global nav.

@benlk Do you have any local changes in a branch for this that need to be pushed before I take over?

@MirandaEcho What color should the subscribe button be in the header?

They have a blue variable set up in their css that looks ok:

Or black/white:

None; until now this ticket didn't require code changes.
