I am not entirely sure if this is the right place to ask this, but I guess i have to start somewhere.... I am sorry if this does not belong here.
I have been trying to install and start the game "Elite Dangerous" from my Epic games library via the Heroic Launcher on Manjaro 21.2.6. I have tried it using the Wine versions "Wine-GE-Proton7-10" and "Wine-7.0-GE-2-LoL". The game is installed on my a seperate drive, while my Wine-Prefix resides on the drive with the operating system.
When I start the game, the Frontier launcher opens as expected, and I am prompted to either create an account or link an account. As the game is registered on my Epic Games account, I try to click on "link", but as soon as I do that, I get a Wine error, and the launcher crashes, while I would expect it to send me ahead in the linking process, afterwards enabling me to start the actual game.
I would be very thankful if someone could help me, or point me towards the right place to ask.
All the best
Lucas
Edit: I completely forgot to mention - I actually found a similar issue on the wine_gaming reddit, which leads to this possible solution. But if I try replicating that, I already fail at installing the .NET framework, as nothing happens when I try to click the Winetricks-Button in the Heroic launcher...
