Amazon updates its disclosure of where it's projects are separately from it's annual report that comes out in the middle of the year.

Note that Amazon buys power for AWS and for its retail delivery business, which is electrifying transport, heating and manufacturing capacity. The totals are not separated out, but in the renewable energy projects some are for AWS some are mixed.and they have at times published percentages.

On January 16th Amazon published a story updating its totals and talking about siting power projects in "dirty grids" around the world.

Amazon is the largest buyer of renewables for the fifth year, now totaling over 600 projects, 2.7GW of battery, over 30GW total.

The CSV available on the Amazon web site has not yet been updated, and as of Sept 2024 it has 526 projects listed.
When the CSV updates, we should grab a copy and compare against the saved Sept 2024 copy.
