No, compaction is completely lossless. Games which stream assets might see visual effects from changes in how long things take to load in, but whether these changes are positive or negative depends on how well things compress, how slow your disks are, how much CPU power is free while the game is running, etc. Either way the effect is likely to be very small, and you can always decompress if it doesn't work out. |
