Feature description

it would be great to have an option to lower the quality of the thumbnails.

maybe we could have a slider that goes from 1% to 100% to pick the desired quality of the thumbnails?

Why do you want this feature?

this would speed up the loading of thumbnails and improve the overall performance of the app.

I would like to see a function to configurate the thumbnail quality, too!
I do not directly need a slider from 1-100 percent quality,
but it would be very nice.

Most of the gallery apps get slow with a large amount of picture files and big or high quality thumbnails.
In most cases jpeg thumbnails are used. Maybe webp thumbnails are a good alternative format
at a high compression with good looking quality! The performance of webp file saving is often
nearly the same as jpeg.
