First of all, in the spirit of FOSS, I congratulate the Ablaze team for their commendable work of making a browser that is feature-rich and based on Firefox. You guys did it so we didn't have to. THANKS DEVS!!! This is a great browser. Which Firefox-based browser has notes? Floorp. Which Firefox-based browser has in-built Web Apps apart from Firefox itself? Floorp. Which Firefox based browser has a built-in game? Floorp. Which Firefox fork gives the option to change to different UIs? Floorp. Which browser has managed to replace most references if not all to Mozilla Foundation (excluding the MPL which is what Floorp is licensed under ) and Firefox in the entirety (NewTab, settings, about:debugging, Update Dialog box, just about anywhere) of the browser? Floorp. Floorp is great and could be so much more if they could incorporate what I'm about to suggest.
Hello. I have the idea to make Floorp beautiful. Make the UI consistent. Then bugs will be cut in half. Let me explain.
The First Floorp build I used was Floorp 11.15 (Firefox ESR 115). It had a bunch of features but not all similar to Vivaldi which was commendable but was not as beautiful as Vivaldi but yet not as ugly as base Firefox. The settings page (about:preferences) looked close to what Zen looks like and what Mozilla has promised.
Now floorp at version 11.18.1 looks the utter crap that is current Firefox.
Floorp should overwrite the styles of Firefox's about: pages to look more beautiful, enhancing user experience.

Also, Floorp should change the newtab page to a more beautiful minimalist UI.

Also, need I mention that upon installing the browser it opening for me to setup, I found a link lying behind the Floorp setup box (id="link-login-to-fx-account-link"), please remove that link and those lines of code. The link makes the user have a bad first impression and validates the user's belief of Floorp being clunky, ugly and just all over the place.
Also, it would be good if you guys just removed the about:welcome page from the browser, simplifying the codebase.
Another suggestion would be to reduce the width of the sidebar for a more minimalist UI:

Also, I urge that the button for workspaces stop hovering over the browser but rather just simply dropdown. Or just borrow code for this from Zen Browser then do the minor modifications to better fit Floorp's horizontal tabs. Considering that Zen's UI is more fluid and smooth compared to the block-like heartstroking UI of Floorp's workspaces button.
Now about animations, you may or may not incorporate them to the browser (or you could make an extension like there's VSCode animations). It's not important so it can be ignored in the sight of more important stuff.
Whille Floorp gives the option to change to different UIs, Floorp's own Fluerial UI leaves a terrible impression on the user, especially considering this is not a UI from Firefox but original UI from Floorp and Ablaze. No icons in the menubar and the three-dot menu, some toolbar icons padded round while others padded squircle, No indication of hibernated and active tabs, combined with other UI issues in Floorp, makes the browser look like a mess.
In 2024, people on the internet want convenience and what they see is part of that. You see, a browser made beautifully with a consistent UI makes it have 'less' bugs. And a beautiful but feature-packed browser made by Japanese developers makes it have 'LESS' bugs (psychology). Make a browser like your making for the user a waifu. Elegant. On version 11.18.0, I noticed that some toolbar buttons had squircle padding on hover while others have CIRCLE padding on hover. This, as you see, is not consistent. Now in version 11.18.1, I noticed that some toolbar buttons have a darker padding color on hover, which is awkward. Floorp is supposed to be as beautiful as the chromium-based browsers WITHOUT ANY CSS. Just a calm browser with a calm tokyo vibe.
I am only requesting this because I would totally want this browser to grow to the level of the big browsers. This browser if it had a beautiful consistent minimalist UI yet feature-packed. And it's not just me. People want the same and complain about how this browser looks. I use Zen Browser but I can attest that this browser is THE Fork of Firefox. Be beautiful. Make beautiful. Live beautiful.
