As Herd Product Owner I want to track usage of the Universal Catalog so I can determine popularity of certain pages and categories of data

Tech Note - this story utilizes Google Analytics. User identifying information is not passed to Google.

Acceptance Criteria

  • Page views for Home Page and Category Page are tracked
  • Page title is correctly reported for Category Page views
  • Which Category was viewed in the Category Page is tracked
  • Use of facets is tracked including which facets are selected for refine and exclude
    • facet info includes facet field and facet value (eg Vehicle Category = Sedan, Result Type = Category)
  • Information above is available in analytics dashboard
    • Report available that shows top Categories viewed in Category Page
    • Report available that shows top facets used on Category Page and if used as refine or exclude (list of individual facets sorted, regardless of how facets are used in combination with other facets)
  • Simple documentation exists that points to each report

Assumption

  • Analytics dashboard has features like user session tracking including click-path, click timing, session duration
