What would be needed to get IIIF compliance for images displayed through EFES?

image resizing server? (Isn't this already there?)
some way to (a) record, (b) surface JSON of IIIF data?
a fallback to current JPEG handling?

That would very nice if there was a possibility to bring JSON of IIIF in EFES.
