When does this happen? Is it after starting another song? I dont seem to encounter this issue when I play, although I typically close the game afterwards, instead of playing another song

Got a little ahead of myself.

Doing a little more testing, it looks like you need to use overdrive at least once after launching the game, then restart or drop out.

And while activating overdrive does immediately fix it, it just goes away on its own after a seemingly arbitrary amount of time, depending on the song. Though it will still occur on restarts/new songs.
