In addition, the textbox could be placed in more places on the screen than default.
Finally, it would be great the user could configure width/height (e.g, imagine that I want my textbox may not be more large than X pixels).

Isn't that something that Maniac patch "Show String picture" already does? Except for the "text appearing effect" it will simply render it in one go and create a picture out of it.
Or do you mean this as an enhancement for "Show message"?
Yes, indeed Maniacs does, but as a picture.
In this proposal, as default, it should be with the default text box dimensions (320x80).
What we are proposing here is that these dimensions can be customisable in height and width for the Show message. In addition to allowing the height and/or width of the box to expand as text is added.
Then the freedom of being able to place the dialogue box freely could also be very interesting, although I understand that it would also have to come from default as in rm 2k/3.
