Add "same line" mode or some type of line break logic

Currently (as far as i can tell) label and widget are in separate lines without taking into account size of either one.
In following example:

the label and drop-down widget (entries) are very short and could fit in one line, by expecting a line separation a lot of "empty space" is created.

Can we pass ui-schemas?
I think i would prefer a different modi, although loading of a ui-schema would be a potential option that allows us to be specific.
In any case, even using ui-schema it still uses two different lines for label and widget
