Current SST data set included is from Hadley Center. This dataset is typically used in long-term analysis since the data is available from 1870. The main thing is Hadley SST is based on all available in situ measurements, but doesn’t consider satellite data. NOAA OISST uses satellite-based SST.

Note: current reference_name uses "HadISST/OI.v2", which need to be corrected. [update: corrected]
