K8s DNS on k8s-dev was broken recently, coinciding with upgrading k8s-dev-ctrl-1 to Ubuntu 22.04. Oddly this was not an issue after the previous upgrade to 22.04 (before we had to roll back to 20.04), and it is not an issue on k8s-ctrl-1.
We found a workaround to get DNS working by disabling the software firewall with ufw disable, rebooting k8s-dev-ctrl-1, then re-enabling the firewall with ufw enable.
