I'll be working in a new website for our organization.

It is currently good, but it could be much better.

My main reasons are:

  • The index page is a bootstrap template that is generic and to me, doesn't give any emotion of movement. I want to make our website to be alive. Showing that issues are moving, that there are messages being sent in Gitter and more stuff so people could see that our community is, in fact, alive.
  • Second, I want to convert our place to be THE PLACE to learn (Haskell) data science. I love the fact that one can learn R and Python at DataCamp, or even the Scala Functional ecosystem at Scala Exercises. dataHaskell.org should be a place where newcomers could start from scratch in learning some Haskell basics (not much, just enough to get started. No transformers and/or Reader, State, etc...). Followed by all the required knowledge for using the existing data science tools.
  • Last but not least, I feel guilty by not having a proper website written in Haskell 😜
