Make a release candidate for remaining studies

A release candidate needs to

• Be stable
• Have all variables we could reasonably want for studies
• Be validated

I'm working on fixing a few issues Asa's having and the geometry issue with the goal of stabilising the reco side for a release in the next week (or two). As soon (probably not very soon) as we have a dune spack environment properly set up it should be relatively easy to release rolling updates with extra features and improvements, but my first priority is having a version of this that just works for new students and the like.
