Need to figure out what's going on with the issue with adding bitcoin to the wallet. I would suggest contacting the developers to determine whether this issue is still outstanding, and if so, when they intend to go about fixing it. The other approach is to try to fix it yourself. Issue in BTCD: btcsuite/btcwallet#496
