I've built Neosurf on Alpine Linux (using my own APKBUILD) and the GTK3 version shows the preferences dialog using what appears to be variable names, not titles.

I've built Netsurf as well for Alpine (using the Alpine testing repo APKBUILD) and it shows something similar so it's possible this is an Alpine issue.

The GTK3 preferences menu inherited much of its brokenness from NetSurf, unfortunately. It is gradually being rewritten.
