Creating new clients helps with out of memory issues

I'm currently using clickhouse locally in a laptop with 16gb of RAM and frequently run into out of memory issues.
There are issues even when I perform only 1 query at a time.

However, most of these issues go away if I create (and close) a new client for each query.

Could someone more knowledgeable on the topic explain why this happens?
