These are un-prioritised

User Needs

  • I want to plan a future trip and want to know when to leave. Because transit can be unreliable, I want to add a buffer time to my trip.
  • Retrospectively see how bad my trip was this morning and why
  • Is service reliability getting better or worse?
    • Why?
    • How does this affect the trips I make?

Site Objectives

  • Build the political will to improve public transportation in Toronto ;)
  • Transparently demonstrate how these kinds of metrics can be calculated using open data
  • Communicate how unreliability affects the customer experience in a customer-understandable way
  • Communicate how subway unreliability has changed over time
