VPN not working

I am enjoying this Destro, config what ever you want to name it but I need to configure open vpn and I did add one using an .ovpn file but when I click on connect nothing happens I tried to dig a bit in this but I couldn't find a solution to it, I am an average linux user.
note: i did the installation in a virtual box.

So... for this one I would try to start openvpn through the command line in the terminal.
Even though 'nothing happens' is exactly what happens in your case, people can't really help with that sentence.

It's like driving your car to the auto shop and yelling: "it doesn't work"
