Issue Description & Expected Outcome:
When the avatar menu is open it can only be closed by a click within the bounds of the avatar

Symptoms:
See above.

Steps to Recreate:

Click on the avatar in the navigation bar to open the menu
Click anywhere on the page outside the avatar. See that the menu remains open.
Click within the bounds of the avatar. See that the menu closes.

Resolution:
TBD
