version check should not require engine initialization

👋 while bumping the release to 4.4.0 release, seeing some engine init check for --version run. I feel like it should not require the engine init check at all.

==> /opt/homebrew/Cellar/two-ms/4.4.0/bin/2ms --version 2>&1
2ms version v4.4.0
20:43:02 ERR Failed to run 2ms error="engine was not initialized"
