An unnecessary optimization idea: calls to ExecuteTemplate are expensive and rendered pages don't change terribly often (weeks in the past never change). This is a good place to demonstrate caching.

Once we have caching minifying should be easy to add https://github.com/tdewolff/minify#common-minifiers
