Distance constraint by Line rather than Points? #35

Perhaps it's possible to get rid of horizontal and vertical distance constraints, by constraining line distance along with vertical line \ horizontal line constraint.
I am not sure what this would require yet, so I would like to hear the maintainers thoughts on this.
