Separated local space feature from BoostNote.next (to continue using local space, please download BoostNote.next-local Releases · BoostIO/BoostNote.next-local · GitHub 15)
Fixed app crash after idling.
Fixed restarting behavior of app updater on macOS.
Changed app icon for macOS to follow Apple’s design guideline.
We’ve decided to separate them because we have found that the value of cloud space is different than the one of local space. The users who are using local space was caring security more so they prefer not to give their data anywhere while other users using cloud space want more external integration and team usage improvements. So we’ve extracted the code of the local space feature and have made it into a standalone app, BoostNote.next-local 15. The local app is much more secure since we discard all of the cloud API and user data tracking completely. The only HTTP request sent by the app should be updating check.
After updating the desktop app, you will find instructions about how to migrate the local space data to the cloud space or to the local app. If you experience any issues, please join our Slack channel 2 and send a DM to me(@Rokt33r)
