I've finally had a chance to play PsyDoom's co-op multiplayer, and I've chosen to enable most of the co-op options. Something I wasn't expecting though is: when you enable "preserve ammo on respawn", it turns out this doesn't preserve the guns. You still have to find the guns before you can use your preserved ammo.
I have to admit, I actually kinda love this behavior, it's a funny punishment for dying without being completely brutal. BUT it does go against what I expected from this feature, based on experience with other games (including the new D+D2 re-release). An additional "preserve weapons on respawn" checkbox would be ideal.
